Dear Xeen,
Thankfully nothing strange happened last night and I was able to sleep well. The herbal remedy that I made worked wonders on my sore body. I can feel a slight lump on the side of my head, but I don't think it will be much of a problem. Today, overall I had a much better day than yesterday. Today, I visited the Masked Champion for the fist time.
I must have left a good impression when I approached the tavern, head held high, pretending to be more confident than I felt. I had my sword at my side and, like usual, tucked it under my cloak. The building from the outside was fairly unimpressive. It only had two floors, shorter than many
Dear Xeen,
I've experienced my first opening of the Masked Champion. It was so easy and took very little time with both James and me working. He prepared the kitchen while I prepared the dining area. It gets very dusty very easily and the floor was fairly filthy. I learned that at night, James and Jenna are usually too tired to clean up and just leave the entire place a mess to clean in the morning.
Soma chuckled in his bar stool as he watched us dance around doing our chores.
After cleaning, I decided that I would go to the library further in town to not only look for a job, but to also look for that information you asked for. I figured th
Dear Xeen,
So much has happened over the last week and I am eager to tell you about it! The day after the last letter was sent out, I encountered Soma again. I was leaving in the morning, unsure where to go. I figured it would be good to get acquainted with the Garden District a bit more so I thought wandering might be a good place to start. I could hit the bakery on the left and explore the gardens closest to the castle - it was where all of the most beautiful and exotic flowers bloomed.
I walked down the rickety wooden stairs out back and found, seated under the shade of the now-blooming cherry blossom tree was Soma. His legs were crossed
To Great Mage Xeen,
I have heard of you, and have had the pleasure of being introduced to your star pupil, Patricia. She sought me out through mutual acquaintances and we have become friends ourselves.
My name is Hunter and I come from a long line of Feheyr sorcerers and have a lot of natural talent for magic. My family has served the Court of Violet Sky and I am sure you have heard of them. Though I am associated by familial ties, I would not consider myself to be anyone particularly special in Three Mouth or any of its kingdoms. I am working as an indie sorcerer in Mountainside currently, hoping to make a name for myself and not just ride
Dear Xeen,
It has been a little while since I last wrote you a letter. I have done my best to busy myself with my task, but I also feel like maybe...
Maybe I am just running away from the problem.
Yesterday, Tabitha asked me to meet her at the college library because she had something important to tell me. She seemed very nervous and not her usual peppy self, so I knew it was serious. And I was right. I'm not really sure what I should do with all of the new information I have gathered.
It started when I first got to the college. I still had not told Tabitha the details of my mission, and was planning on doing so today. I figured being more
Dear Great Mage Xeen,
Hello! I hope you don't think its inappropriate for me to send you a letter. I am the great granddaughter of another Great Mage, Iyan. I didn't get much chance to spend time with him other than when I was very young. He taught me a thing or two of practical magic, though none of it really stuck.
My name is Tabitha Akey, I don't know if Iyan has ever spoken to you about me. I am a student doctor currently attending the college in Mountainside. I am also a friend of your student, Patricia. She is a delight to spend time with and so interested in listening to my lectures. I can kind of get carried away when I start talking
Dear Xeen,
I have been sending you letters for over a month now, depicting the important events that have happened to me since I arrived in Mountainside. I don't know if you are actually getting my letters... But I will keep sending them with the hopes that you are just too busy to respond. I know that the responsibilities of being a Great Mage can keep you pretty busy. I don't want to be a bother.
It's been a week since Tabitha told me all of that stuff and I still haven't seen Soma at all. I've asked around to James and Jenna just about every day. They say that this behavior is usual for him and that I shouldn't worry about it so much. May
